I’d say it’s about time I get some projects up on this site! I hope you enjoy them. This is my first contribution to Crafting Clever.

After I moved down here to South Florida, and then moved again, I finally settled in and am able to start decorating the new place. We’re still renting, so I can’t do any major alterations to our place, but there are some fun projects that can be done in the meantime! Things that aren’t permanent, and are easy to fix/repair when installed, for when we move later on.

All of our walls are pretty bare, so I just had to do something. I’ve been inspired by the butterfly and bird wall art for a while now, and decided to my own take on them.

I originally wanted to do the cut-out pieces in black, but then decided to do a gradation of color, using four shades of a blue card stock. I also didn’t want to just do butterflies, or birds. I wanted to do a mix, and thought I would throw in some bats, too.

The entire process takes some time, but it’s actually pretty easy. What’s even better, is it won’t break you financially! I spent $.49 per sheet of paper (x4), and $2.99 on the metal pins. A total cost of $4.95 in materials. Oh, and I got these at Michaels. Not too bad!
